BASED in Balmaha (near Drymen) on the east shores of Loch Lomond, our photographer offers a full range of photography and photographic services for personal, corproate and media clients both locally (Balfron, Killearn, Balloch, Alexandria) and further afield across central Scotland.
Whether you’d like a record of your party or special event or studio/location portraits, your photographs can be delivered as digital files or in the physical form of a hard-back book, bespoke album or framed prints/canvases.
We specialise in promotional images for business and corporate clients and can meet every need whether for publicity and media use or for website content, advertising, newsletters, in-house magazines and promotional materials.
CORPORATE
WE can provide photography and images for all your needs – from company magazines, corporate brochures, leaflets and other print material to web content, banner ads or other digital use.

PERSONAL
LOCH Lomond Studios’ photographer specialises in taking images of people – particularly to create a record of parties, social and other special events.
We can also take portraits in your own home, on location or at our East Loch Lomond studio.
Images can be delivered in books, albums, traditonal prints or canvases. We can also supply digital images via email, on CD or USB drive.
OTHER
OUR photographs have been published in many newspapers, magazines and trade press in both physical and electronic formats. An eye for detail, top quality work and fast turnaround put us at the top of the call list for many publishers and media.
We can retouch and repair damaged or old photographs and provide prints to order. Your existing images (prints or digital) can be collated into beautiful albums to make a wonderful keepsake or gift…or just to have on the coffee table.

What area/s do you cover?
We cover west/central Scotland from our studio base in Balmaha (near Drymen) on the east shores of Loch Lomond.
A lot of our work is in Glasgow and Stirling as these areas are within easy and quick travelling distance from our base. We also service the local area providing photography services in Killearn, Balfron , Drymen, Balloch and Alexandria – as well as along the West Highland Way between Milngavie and Rowardennan.
Distance is no object if time and budget allow and we have taken on jobs all over the UK and overseas.
What does it cost to hire a photographer?
Mmm…how long’s a piece of string – the question everyone wants to know the answer to and it varies depending on what you need.
The proposed usage of the images is also a factor – for instance there’s a big difference between a personal portrait destined for a canvas and a cover shot for a glossy magazine or other commercial use.
A one-hour photoshoot at our studio with a set of electronic images could be as low as £100.
Location and corporate shoots are based on time and requirements and quoted on a ‘per job’ basis.
Similarly, events, parties or portraits in your own home are quoted on a combination of time and expenses.

How long does it take to get our images?
We aim to provide a set of images via email or file transfer within 24 hours. For urgent news or media clients we can often deliver within an hour of taking the photographs.
Much depends on the number of images and the job in hand.
Can you help me take better photos?
Of course! We can offer one-to-one practical tuition and help with all aspects of photography – from getting to know your camera and getting the best results to editing, archiving and presenting your photos.
Whether your camera is built into your phone or an advanced SLR – and anything in between we can provide help and advice. As well as covering all things technical, we can also provide guidance on the more creative side of photography – from composition and use of light to croping and editing your images on computer, tablet or even phone.
